Pythagoras is mathematical journal, in Dutch, for young people from 12 to 99 (and over). Its aim is to introduce the readers to the fun and exciting aspects of mathematics.
Every year Pythagoras has a running theme; in the school year 2005-2006 it is "Open problems".
There are also two new series entitled 'the mathematics of ...' and 'do more with your graphing calculator'.
Pythagoras is published by the Royal Dutch mathematical Society. The publishing schedule reflects the school year: six issues that appear approximately bimonthly, the first in September and the last one in
June. Normally an issue has 32 pages, though sometimes we publish a longer special issue. Pythagoras is put together and edited by a group of enthusiastic mathematicians, aided by two graphic designers.
For those who do not read Dutch: do browse this site, the language of mathematics is universal. Under `links' and `zusterbladen' you will find links to similar journals in other countries.
